About the Chapter

IPS Academy Institute of Engineering & Science is an officially recognized Nodal Centre for the Spoken Tutorial project developed by IIT Bombay and funded by the National Mission on Education through ICT (NMEICT), Ministry of Education, Govt. of India. The programme enables self-paced learning and audio-video training on 70+ open-source software packages.

Core Objectives & Mission

Provide accessible FOSS software education to all engineering students regardless of background.

Facilitate online certification examinations directly evaluated and accredited by IIT Bombay.

Integrate practical open-source tools (Python, Scilab, LaTeX, Blender, Linux) into undergraduate coursework.

Empower students in regional languages to break linguistic barriers in computing.

Universal online test conducted for 2nd and 3rd year engineering students with official IIT Bombay certification.

LaTeX for Engineering Thesis & Paper Writing

Linux Operating System & Bash Scripting

Orientation Program
